I read one autobiography a month; I find real life more interesting than fiction. Typically, I will finish a book within 2 days and let the authors perspective, loss, and victory sit with me for a few weeks.Mary’s writing is simply beautiful as she transforms resentment into compassion. The way she is able to put her feelings into words is a gift. I found myself identifying with bits and pieces of her story - a spouse that’s a perfectionist with his career and finances, my own sensitive child, and my little posse of 3.I recommend this book to the avid memoir lover and anyone trying to overcome the loss of a love. Mary’s recovery is inspiring and will give anyone hope. I will keep my eye open for future works from this author.
